What I Am Grateful For #2
This Man
This is my Beloved. My husband. My partner in life and my partner in crime, this mortal coil would be absolutely no fun without him. He’s smart and funny and charming all while being steadfast and responsible and strong. A loving and devoted husband and father, he’s taught me what a truly good marriage is. He is happy that I live with him; he doesn’t expect me to live for him. He loves me for me, and not what I do for him. He respects that I am an individual, rather than demanding I be a reflection of him. He doesn’t need to tear me down to build himself up.
My friend M says he’s one of the few “real men” he’s ever met, my friend Trina wishes she could clone him, my grandmother loves him, my brother respects him, my kids love AND respect him and my mother would have adored him.
I am grateful, so grateful, for my Beloved.
